Their mission is to bridge the gap between automated and manual security testing, offering a streamlined approach to managing security vulnerabilities. Built by penetration testing experts, Blacklock addresses the complexity of traditional security testing by providing an intuitive, single-pane-of-glass platform for vulnerability management. However, their existing website and platform design didn’t fully reflect the ease and accessibility they aimed to offer. To effectively communicate their value and simplify user interactions, Blacklock needed a redesign focused on enhancing the user experience.

Wireframes
The wireframing phase focused on creating an organized and user-centric layout that would enhance accessibility and simplify complex security tasks. We mapped out a design that prioritized quick access to key features, such as automated vulnerability scans, customizable test scheduling, and reporting tools. Our wireframes also included dedicated sections to guide users through the platform’s unique automation features, simplifying the path from vulnerability discovery to actionable insights.
UI Design
For the UI design, we selected a modern and minimalistic approach to make Blacklock’s complex features feel approachable and intuitive. The color scheme was refined to evoke trust and clarity, while iconography and visual hierarchy guided users to essential functions. Each design element was carefully chosen to reflect Blacklock’s vision of making security testing simpler and more efficient, creating an environment where users can confidently manage security tasks.
